About UsThe Pine Island Area Historical Society was organized in 1998. On August 27, 2005 we purchased the Collins-Glamm home at 314 North Main in Pine Island. This home is now the Pine Island Area History Center. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. The bylaws of the organization are available here. Our MissionThe society is dedicated to the collection, preservation and dissemination of knowledge about the history of the Pine Island, Minnesota area and to relating that history to that of the State of Minnesota.
